Teach 250: Beyond the March: Martin Luther King, Jr. in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy in Washington, D.C. is bigger than a single march. While the March on Washington stands as one of the most iconic moments in American history, it was far from the only time King came to the nation’s capital. Join us as we explore the lesser-known visits that brought Dr. King to the National Mall.
Educators are invited to join the Trust for the National Mall, National Park Service and Destination DC for the next installment of this year's series of Teach 250: Inspiring a More Perfect Union. Leading up to the historic 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026, this teacher workshop series is designed to help prepare educators for the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by exploring ways to celebrate, honor, commemorate, and dive deep into America's 250 years of history.
