Teach 250: Bringing History to Life: Civics Education Resources from the National Archives

In the second session of Teach 250: Inspiring a More Perfect Union, join the National Archives Foundation to support civics education in your classroom. Discover how to bring history to life using primary sources, interactive tools, and classroom-ready resources from the National Archives. This session will introduce educators to DocsTeach, the Archives' free online tool that provides access to thousands of primary sources and ready-to-use activities aligned with civics and history standards. You'll also explore America's 100 Docs, an online civics education game that challenges students to think about and debate the 100 most significant records from the holdings of the National Archives.

Educators are invited to join the Trust for the National Mall, National Park Service and Destination DC for this second installment of this year's series of Teach 250: Inspiring a More Perfect Union. Leading up to the historic 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026, this teacher workshop series is designed to help prepare educators for the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by exploring ways to celebrate, honor, commemorate, and dive deep into America's 250 years of history.
