Presidents Day With the National Mall

Help us celebrate Presidents Day! National Mall and Memorial Parks honors Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Dwight D. Eisenhower with memorials. The process for building these memorials involves creativity, debate, and compromise.

Bring your students and join us to learn about the creation of presidential memorials on the National Mall on Thursday, February 27th, at 1pm. For this program, challenge your students to design their own presidential memorials. Have them draw or create a memorial to a president of their choosing and share with us before the virtual classroom, and we will include some student designs in the program. Send images of your students’ memorials to nacc_national_mall_education@nps.gov.
