Eleanor Roosevelt Virtual Classroom

Eleanor Roosevelt Virtual Classroom

In honor of Eleanor Roosevelt’s 138th birthday, take your students on a virtual visit to sites that celebrate her legacy. Meet National Park Service Rangers from the Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site in Hyde Park, New York and the Eleanor Roosevelt Statue, part of the Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial, in Washington, D.C.

Franklin Roosevelt said, "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Students will explore these places, learn how Eleanor celebrated her birthday, and discover ways she overcame her fears to accomplish great things. Join us on Friday, October 7th at 1:30 PM Eastern time. Bring any questions students have about Eleanor Roosevelt! This virtual classroom session is ideal for grades fourth through eighth.
