Historic Lockkeeper’s House opens on the National Mall following major renovation

The Trust for the National Mall and the National Park Service marked the official opening of the restored Lockkeeper’s House with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The oldest structure on the National Mall has been the subject of a major restoration project for the past year and a half that has transformed the house into an educational and visitor contact location on the National Mall.

Trust for the National Mall releases State of the National Mall Report

For the first time, the Trust has published a brief report highlighting the progress against the National Mall Plan. Unveiled at the BALL for THE MALL, the “State of the National Mall Report” provides updates and emphasis on what has been achieved to preserve and transform the Mall – along with a clear assessment of the ongoing but yet unmet needs that can be addressed with public and private funding.
