Trust for the National Mall Launches the Trust Cornerstone Council

The Trust for the National Mall was thrilled to gather with supporters and partners to officially launch the new Trust Cornerstone Council (TCC). Two celebratory spring receptions were hosted by TCC Co-Chairs Andrea Franklin and Pam Marquez bringing together new and established champions of the Trust to engage and update them on our shared mission of restoring, preserving and enriching America’s Front Yard. The first event, a luncheon, was held at Washington Golf and Country Club on May 18, and the second event, a cocktail reception, took place at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm on May 25. Both events featured remarks from TCC Honorary Chair Sally Akridge, Trust President and CEO Catherine Townsend and Trust Vice President of Philanthropy Stephen Saunders. Trust for the National Mall Founder and Chairman John E. “Chip” Akridge, III joined the cocktail reception in Potomac to share his love for and dedication to the National Mall.

The Trust for the National Mall Cornerstone Council (TCC) serves as a society of men and women representatives from across America connecting the National Mall and President’s Park to their communities and peers. TCC members support the Trust for the National Mall at the highest levels of commitment to engage and bolster the Trust’s mission to restore, preserve and enrich the National Mall and President’s Park.
