Ever wanted to get up close and personal with the horses of the U.S. Park Police Mounted Unit on the National Mall? Now’s your chance!

Come visit the Education Center at the US Park Police Horse Stables and check out our newly installed “Meet the Horses” feature! And then, duck inside and check out all the exhibits, and warm up as the weather begins to chill! Thank you to our generous donors, including Wells Fargo and Sheila Johnson, who made this beautiful new facility and home for the horses possible.

Get to know each of the horses through fun flipbooks sharing facts about their breeds, previous occupations and more. Did you know that many of the U.S. Park Police horses are donated to work in the Mounted Unit after working other jobs across the country?
