One of our favorite moments of 2023 was partnering with HUMANA to roll out pickleball courts on the National Mall FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, for three days of match play, community, and connection both on and off the courts.

National Mall of Pickleball one of Top 10 Moments of 2023 for Trust for the National Mall
More than 7,000 people engaged with this three-day free pickleball event for all on the National Mall from September 27-29, 2023. Presented in partnership with HUMANA, the National Mall of Pickleball brought America's fastest-growing past time to America's Front Yard, welcoming pro players, beginners, local picklers and players from around the globe. Even Katie Couric joined us to bring her A-game to center court! And more than 400 news stories brought National Mall of Pickleball to the people of America - readers and viewers across the U.S….and abroad!
Other pro picklers and first-timers joined us including Rob Riggle, Former White House Chef, Andre Rush, who was “Cookin’ in the Kitchen”, and the stars of the professional D.C. Pickleball Team.
Joining us on the court or in the stands was free, but caring for the National Mall is not. We welcome you to make a gift to help care for the monuments, memorials and all 700 acres of the National Mall. You can make a tax-deductible donation here.
