BALL for THE MALL 2024 welcomed 600+ guests in a grand tent beneath the Washington Monument celebrating the National Mall as the iconic space that champions no cause—but has always needed its own champions. The evening featured inspiring stories from our History, Heroes & Hope honorees: Musician and author Dave Grohl, Mellon Foundation's President Elizabeth Alexander and playwright and director George C. Wolfe. We also heard moving tributes to our honorees and a surprise concert by honoree Dave Grohl, which was a sold-out show! The Trust is grateful to the many corporate partners, generous supporters and philanthropists who joined us at BALL for THE MALL to support our mission with the National Park Service. Thank you to those who made a gift or a bid in the online auction of the autographed Epiphone DG-335 that was donated by Gibson and signed by Dave Grohl backstage!
