The Trust for the National Mall in partnership with the National Park Service, with support from The Doughboy Foundation, will present “#NotesOfRemembrance” performances for fallen servicemembers in honor of Memorial Day.

This Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, at 5 PM, buglers stationed at 11 sites across the National Mall and surrounding areas will play a coordinated "Taps" performance at the following locations:

African American Civil War Memorial
American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial
D.C. War Memorial
Desert Shield and Desert Storm Memorial (future site)
Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial
Global War on Terrorism Memorial (future site)
Korean War Veterans Memorial
US Navy Memorial
Vietnam Veterans Memorial
World War I Memorial
World War II Memorial (Trust for the National Mall will be on-site)

"Taps" is a bugle song of remembrance for servicemembers traditionally played by the U.S. Armed Forces. No registration or fee is required, and visitors are invited to pause for reflection. This commemorative performance is a coordinated effort between National Mall partners and nearby sites to unite across the National Mall in a shared moment of remembrance. This is the second annual presentation of #NotesOfRemembrance on the National Mall.
