Teach 250: The Building of a Nation with the National Building Museum

Join the National Building Museum and the National Mall in recognition of America’s 250th anniversary to discover the impact that the built environment has had on the nation’s first 250 years. The built environment we celebrate includes more than just our built cities and towns. It includes the growth of one’s community, a sense of belonging, and the innovation of our nation’s structures and possibilities for the future. In this webinar we will share how the museum’s history, collection and exhibitions can help you shine a light on the story of America’s first 250 years! Get resources on how to access the collection digitally, engage with the exhibitions from inside your classroom or by visiting the museum, and how the built environment has contributed to the story of America’s 250th.

Educators are invited to join the Trust for the National Mall, National Park Service and Destination DC for the next installment of this year's series of Teach 250: Inspiring a More Perfect Union. Leading up to the historic 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026, this teacher workshop series is designed to help prepare educators for the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by exploring ways to celebrate, honor, commemorate, and dive deep into America's 250 years of history.
