March on washington 60th anniversary: leaders behind the movement

Students recognize Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as a participant at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Yet, he was one of many involved in the organization and presentations at this historic event on the National Mall. As we mark the 60th anniversary of the March, park rangers will highlight the contributions made by others to the March's success during this virtual program.

This program is recommended for 4th - 8th grade students, but all are welcome.
