Take a Step Back in Time at the Lockkeeper’s House

Today, the Trust for the National Mall, in partnership with the National Park Service and TimeLooper, unveiled a new feature in the Lockkeeper’s House. This new exhibit, an augmented reality window, is an immersive re-creation of an 1830’s look through the windows of the historic house.

Previously standing dilapidated for decades, the Lockkeeper’s House re-opened to the public a year ago. The house was moved off the busy street corner of 17th St. NW and Constitution Ave. NW and completely restored into a modern and educational gateway to America's Front Yard. This project was completed entirely through private donations.
