A Monumental Evening in Boston

A Monumental Evening in Boston

The Trust for the National Mall was honored to bring its work to honor America’s 250th on the National Mall north for a Monumental Evening in Boston on November 12. Trust Board Member John Drew and THE DREW COMPANY hosted a special event spotlighting the National Mall as the greatest symbol of American independence and freedom in the city that helped inspire the Revolution.

The event featured remarks from author and historian Daniel Dain (President & Chairman Dain, Torpy, Le Ray, Wiest & Garner) and highlighted Our Monumental Moment - The Campaign for the National Mall, which invites all of America to help the Trust build legacy projects in honor of America’s 250th Anniversary.

“That’s the profound effect of the Mall, it transcends politics, it brings people together. It celebrates where we have been as a nation, and where we are heading. History happens on the National Mall.” -Catherine Townsend, President & CEO, Trust for the National Mall
