"The enactment of the Great American Outdoors Act will bring much needed relief for maintenance repairs to the National Park Service and the National Mall, but the need for additional funding is critical to address modernization and sustainability upgrades to make the National Mall what it should be: the greatest park in the world,” said Chip Akridge, Founder and Chairman of the Trust. “These new board members share that same civic objective and I look forward to having their support as we work together to bring this vision to a reality for future generations to come.” Akridge is founder and chairman of Akridge, a full-service commercial real estate company and a prominent investor and developer in the Washington, DC region and North Carolina.
