LEGO® Brand Celebrates American icons on the National Mall
The Trust for the National Mall welcomes the LEGO Systems, Inc to the National Mall for a one-of-a-kind event on the plaza in front of the Lincoln Memorial, celebrating American icons before the Fourth of July holiday. The visually stunning, interactive event will include a fundraiser for visitors interested in supporting their National Mall.
The LEGO Americana Roadshow is a highly visual, educational, and free traveling installation of larger-than-life LEGO replicas of iconic buildings and architectural structures. Featured LEGO landmarks from this long-running tour – including the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and Jefferson Memorial – will make a stop on the National Mall, offering visitors stunning visuals of large-scale LEGO models of these iconic structures built by LEGO Master Builders.
The event will also feature interactive elements. A large-scale mural of an American flag will be built by visitors contributing red, white, and blue LEGO bricks. Participants in the community mural build will also have an opportunity to donate to the Trust for the National Mall as a way to support the work we do to improve the park. Visitors will also enjoy tented play areas to build their own creations.
