Recently, five design proposals to protect the Tidal Basin from climate change were published for the Tidal Basin Ideas Lab. As designers, historians and Washingtonians look to protect the historic site for future generations, it is also important to examine how it functioned in the past. In this virtual talk, Eduard Krakhmalnikov from the Trust for the National Mall will explore the past, present and future of the Tidal Basin.

This program is presented by The George Washingtion University Museum and the Textile Museum.
