Sunday tea

Thank you for joining us at CrushBar for Sunday Tea today in support of the National Mall and Lafayette Park!

Join us in celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of our nation. The Trust for the National Mall is building restoration projects, civic learning opportunities and volunteer programs across the National Mall, including the restoration of Lafayette Park.

Lafayette Park’s Legacy

  • Today’s Lafayette Park was created in 1962, when First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy intervened to prevent the removal of historic buildings that frame the park.

  • Today, this overlooked green space and its canopy of trees, classic formal pathways and signature fountains have fallen into disrepair and need to be restored to befit the park’s history and its prominent location.

Help us restore Lafayette Park by making a gift to the Trust for the National Mall today! Your gift will restore and preserve this national treasure for generations to come!
