National Mall of Pickleball

Thank you to our partners at Humana, Inc. and the Humana Foundation for an incredible three-year partnership that brought the National Mall of Pickleball to life. This innovative community event was launched in 2023 and concluded its three-year run in 2025.

National Mall of Pickleball celebrated Humana’s generous support for the Trust for the National Mall’s mission with the National Park Service in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.

National Mall of Pickleball spotlighted the Mall as a vibrant space where America comes to connect, get active, be healthy and build community. The event exceeded all expectations, bringing together thousands of players – including pros from DC Pickleball, rising stars, kids, talented chefs, Katie Couric and more – and nearly 30,000 spectators for an unforgettable experience beneath the iconic monuments and memorials.

Thank you to all who volunteered, cheered, and played on court. And thank you again to Humana for the support and vision that showed the important role that pickleball serves in creating community — both on the Mall and across the nation. Pickleball brings people together!
