Steve Preston
Senior Project Manager
Steve Preston serves as Senior Project Manager at the Trust for the National Mall, working closely with the project team on design, implementation, and restoration of the Nation’s “front lawn.” As a professional landscape architect, he is acutely aware of the power and impact this invaluable green space can have on residents of Washington and beyond. In this role, Steve works closely with partners to ensure The National Mall continues to attract and reflect the diversity that makes this nation thrive as we approach the 250th anniversary, and beyond.
Prior to joining the Trust, Steve served as a Park Design and Construction Manager at Parks & People in Baltimore, MD, working to connect residents in the “Black Butterfly” with new and invigorated parks and greenspaces. During his tenure of nearly a decade, over 42 acres of parks and green spaces were improved, positively impacting over 26% of residents who had little to no access to quality space previously. Steve has Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Landscape Architecture from Penn State University.
