Senior Project Manager
Lauren serves as Senior Project Manager at the Trust for the National Mall. In this role, she manages all aspects of Beyond Granite, a forward-thinking initiative funded by the The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation aimed at broadening the dialogue and stories represented in the commemorative landscape on the National Mall and in Washington, DC. Beyond Granite will bring a series of special commemorative works to the National Mall and Washington, DC and aims to create a pilot program that can serve as a model for commemoration to help expand the conversation across the national commemorative landscape.
Lauren most recently worked with the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities in public art and grant management, and at the National Building Museum where she led community engagement and youth programming for eight years. She holds a master’s in museum education from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Mary Washington. Passionate about equity-centered community design, Lauren also serves on the board of directors for the Neighborhood Design Center.
