Jan Jensen
Director of Individual Philanthropy
Jan Jensen serves as Director of Individual Philanthropy at the Trust for the National Mall. She works to steward Trust supporters, engage and cultivate membership, and expand the major gift portfolio of philanthropists, both locally and nationally, who share an affinity for the National Mall.
Jan is passionate about working with people to connect them personally to the Trust’s mission to preserve, restore, and enrich the National Mall. To her role at the Trust, Jan brings a wealth of experience in fundraising, board development, stewardship, membership, and event planning.
Prior to joining the Trust, Jan served as the Head of Development for Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens. Previously, she gained corporate account experience working with Fortune 500 companies at AIG Environmental.
At the Trust, Jan joins her fundraising experience with her past professional and personal interest in land use planning and environmental science. Jan has also held positions on Capitol Hill, including Legislative Director, and has authored reports on environmental and urban studies. She holds a BS in Applied Earth Science from Stanford University.
