Senior Director of Special Events
Brad Sickels serves as the Senior Director of Special Events, bringing over 15 years of strategic event planning and production experience to the Trust. He is responsible for the oversight and execution of fundraising and brand-building events, including leading initiatives to elevate Trust events. He will also lead the development and planning of event programming to commemorate America's 250th anniversary in 2026.
Prior to joining the Trust, Brad served as Senior Director of Communications & Events at Horton's Kids, where he spearheaded flagship fundraisers and led the organization’s communications & marketing efforts. He has also produced events for a number of other local and national organizations like the American Psychological Association, Human Rights Campaign, and the National Student Leadership Conference. Brad holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from SUNY Geneseo.
Brad recently moved to Arlington, VA where he enjoys hiking, camping, and attending live music performances. As a previous competition team dancer, he remains passionate about urban dance and continues to teach in studios throughout the DC area.
