Andrew Roberts is the Chief Revenue and Growth Officer at the Trust for the National Mall and a recognized leader in nonprofit growth, strategy, and organizational transformation, with more than 20 years of experience helping mission-driven organizations scale their impact, diversify revenue, and build the partnerships needed to fund ambitious goals.

Before joining the Trust for the National Mall, Andrew previously served as President of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, having first been the organization’s Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, he drove a full transformation of the Foundation, growing its impact by more than 20% year-over-year and evolving it from a grantmaking organization into a direct program operator with national reach. Andrew helped stand up a Technology Innovation Fund focused on improving access to literacy resources for families in need, and he launched the Adult Literacy and Learning Impact Network (ALL IN), a first-of-its-kind collective impact initiative introduced by Dr. Jill Biden, uniting 12 national organizations around a shared strategy to address the U.S. literacy crisis.

Prior to the Barbara Bush Foundation, Andrew spent nearly a decade at AARP in a series of leadership roles. As Vice President of Strategy and Social Impact, he oversaw a $250 million annual social impact portfolio reaching more than 30 million people, developed a Malcolm Baldrige Award-winning strategic planning process, and drove a 68% increase in program engagement over three years without adding cost. As Director of Business Optimization and Operational Effectiveness, he built and led an internal consulting function that transformed enterprise operations across AARP's 2,600-person organization, establishing new approaches to performance management, risk mitigation, and cross functional execution.

Andrew is a recognized and active voice in the nonprofit and social impact space. He is a contributing writer and a member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council, and has been featured in outlets including The Hill, Washington Post, and Medium. He has delivered keynote addresses at the American Telehealth Conference and the iLRN Conference, appeared on the White House 1600 Sessions Podcast, and has been a frequent speaker at national convenings on literacy, innovation, and social impact.

Andrew holds an MBA from the University of Maryland and degrees in Marketing and Information Technology from Florida State University. He lives in Rockville with his family of four (plus one very loved dog) and fills his free time with guitar, concerts, and the outdoors including hiking, baseball, and pickleball.
