1. Promotion Description

The Trust for the National Mall Monthly Contest #MYNATIONALMALLSTORY (the "Sweepstakes") begins on September 15, 2026 at 12:01 am Eastern Time and ends on October 14, 2027 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time (the "Promotion Period"). The Promotion Period is divided into thirteen monthly entry periods. Each monthly entry period begins at 12:01 am Eastern Time on the 15th day of a month and ends at 11:59 pm Eastern Time on the 14th day of the following month (each, a "Monthly Entry Period"). By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Trust for the National Mall ("Sponsor"), which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor is responsible for the collection, submission, or processing of Entries and the overall administration of the Sweepstakes. Entrants should look solely to Sponsor with any questions, comments, or problems related to the Sweepstakes.

2. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years or older. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Entries must be posted by an individual from a personal Instagram account. Posts from business, brand, or organizational accounts, and posts from Sponsor's own accounts, are not eligible. Sponsor and its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, retailers, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies and each of their respective officers, directors and employees (collectively, the "Promotion Entities"), and members of their immediate families and/or persons living in the same household as such persons, are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes or win a prize.

3. Winner Selection

One winner will be selected for each Monthly Entry Period by random drawing from all validated Entries received during that Monthly Entry Period. A valid Entry must include a photo that clearly features a monument or event located on National Mall grounds. Submissions must not contain any political or religious messaging or content.

Each drawing will be conducted on the 15th day of the month following the close of the Monthly Entry Period, or on the next business day if the 15th falls on a weekend or federal holiday. The final drawing will be conducted on October 15, 2027. Odds of winning will vary depending on the number of eligible Entries received during the applicable Monthly Entry Period. Eligible Entries that do not win are not carried over to later drawings.

Potential winners will be notified by direct message to the Instagram account used to enter, sent from Sponsor's official Instagram account (@thenationalmall), on or about 48 hours after the drawing. Sponsor will never ask a winner for payment or banking information. Potential winners must respond as directed by Sponsor within 48 hours of notification and provide a name, email address, and United States shipping address. Any winner notification not responded to may result in prize forfeiture, in which case Sponsor may select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible Entries for that Monthly Entry Period. The potential prize winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability, and a Publicity Release (collectively, the "Prize Claim Documents"). No substitution or transfer of a prize is permitted except by Sponsor.

4. Prizes

One prize will be awarded for each Monthly Entry Period. Each prize is a "Day on the Mall" pack with an Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of $100, which includes:

a tote bag (approx. $20)
a baseball hat (approx. $15)
a picnic blanket (approx. $30)
a limited-edition map of the National Mall (approx. $40)

Only one prize per person will be awarded during the Promotion Period. Prizes cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or substituted by the winner. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value if a prize described in these Official Rules is unavailable or cannot be awarded, in whole or in part, for any reason. The ARV of the prize represents Sponsor's good faith determination. That determination is final and binding and cannot be appealed. If the actual value of the prize turns out to be more than or less than the stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded in cash. Sponsor makes no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. Prizes will be shipped only to addresses within the United States, within 4 weeks after the winner's prize claim is confirmed. All federal, state and/or local taxes, fees, and surcharges are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Failure to comply with the Official Rules will result in forfeiture of the prize.

5. How to Enter

Enter during a Monthly Entry Period by posting your photo on a public Instagram account with the hashtag #MYNATIONALMALLSTORY in the caption. Limit one (1) Entry per person per Monthly Entry Period; additional posts by the same person in the same Monthly Entry Period will not increase that person's chances of winning. Automated or robotic Entries submitted by individuals or organizations will be disqualified. Entries must be posted by the entrant. Any attempt by an entrant to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple accounts, identities, registrations, logins or any other methods, including, but not limited to, commercial contest/sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering services, will void that entrant's Entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Posts that are deleted, made private, or archived before the drawing are not eligible. Final eligibility for the award of any prize is subject to eligibility verification as set forth above. Entries must be posted within a Monthly Entry Period to be eligible for that month's drawing. Sponsor's clock will be the official timekeeper for this Sweepstakes.

6. Privacy

All entrants acknowledge that if they are chosen as a winner, certain of their personally identifying information may be disclosed to third parties at least as required by law, including, without limitation, on a winner's list. All personal information submitted as part of the Sweepstakes may be shared by and between the Promotion Entities, and each of the Promotion Entities will use such information in accordance with their respective independent online privacy policies.

7. Ownership and Use Rights

Contestant retains the copyright to his or her photograph or video, and all rights thereto, except as follows. Contestant grants to Sponsor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to the photograph or video. Sponsor has the right to edit, adapt and publish the description and/or photograph or video submitted (together or singularly, the "Entry"), and may use the Entry in any media in association with the Promotion and/or the promotion of Sponsor's business without compensation to the Contestant, his or her successors or assigns, or any other entity. By entering the Promotion, Contestant agrees to have his or her Entry used and displayed, either singularly or in combination with other Entries and in any size, on social media, website, and print materials of Sponsor without any fee or other form of compensation due at any time for so long as desired by the Sponsor. Credits, descriptions or titles, if any, used with the photos or videos are in Sponsor's sole discretion. In the event that ownership of any Entry submitted is challenged in any manner by any person, Sponsor may disqualify that Entry and discontinue use of the photograph or video.

8. Limitation of Liability

Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error, which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any misdirected or lost mail, or any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay of operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading materials in the Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, then Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In such an event, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, perform the random drawing from among all eligible Entries received prior to or after such cancellation, suspension, or modification. In the event of a dispute concerning who posted an Entry, the Entry will be deemed to have been made by the authorized holder of the Instagram account used to post it. A potential winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized holder of that account. If a dispute cannot be resolved to Sponsor's satisfaction, the Entry will be deemed ineligible.

9. Winner's List

To obtain a copy of any legally required winners list or a copy of these Official Rules, send the applicable request and a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope to: Trust for the National Mall Monthly Contest, 879 N Greenbrier St, Arlington, VA 22205. Requests for a winner's name must be received within six months after the applicable drawing. Requests for a copy of the Official Rules must be received by the end of the Promotion Period.

10. Sponsor

The Sweepstakes is sponsored by the Trust for the National Mall.

11. Instagram Disclaimer

Entrants should understand that they are providing their information to the Sponsor and not to Instagram. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram.
