WUSA9: DC You can now visit the oldest structure on the National Mall

WUSA9’s Matt Pusatory wrote about the Lockkeeper’s House, which is the oldest existing structure on the National Mall, reopening to the public following a restoration, relocation and new exhibit installation.


“The oldest existing structure on the National Mall is now back open for visitors!

The Lockkeeper's House sits on the corner of 17th and Constitution Avenue, and it has a lot of history. It's 185 years old and it once served as the home of a canal lock tender.”
