Fox 5’s Bob Barnard visited the completed state-of-the-art and sustainable U.S. Park Police Horse Stables and brand-new Education Center. The news clips highlight that this milestone project includes a stables for the officers and horses of the Mounted Unit and a brand-new Education Center that will welcome the public for the first time to learn about the horses and their history on the National Mall. A brief interview from Mike Litterst, Chief of Communications for the National Park Service, reveals how exciting it is that the Education Center opens to the public in just two weeks, on June 14th, 2023!
Watch to see sneak peeks at the stables and learn more about several features of the stables and new Education Center! The Education Center is open Thursday - Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM.
