Joining America250 at NYSE for the opening Bell HONORING THE Semiquincentennial

The Trust for the National Mall joined its partners at the America250 US Semiquincentennial Commission at the New York Stock Exchange heralding the arrival of the nation’s 250th anniversary on Wall Street. President and CEO Catherine Townsend joined Chair Rosie Rios and national business leaders to celebrate the USA and mark 250 years of American ingenuity on the floor of the Exchange.

The opening bell ceremony payed tribute to the role American businesses have played in driving growth and shaping our nation since 1776.

During the event, McKinsey & Company launched its new McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) focused on the future of US economic competitiveness. The initiative traces how the United States built its economic leadership—and asks what it will take to sustain it for the future
