Pamela Scholl has been President of the Dr. Scholl Foundation since 1994. Prior to moving to Chicago, Ms. Scholl spent 17 years of her career at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. She serves on the Board of Directors of Big Shoulders Fund, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Catholic Church Extension Society, Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress in Washington, D.C. and is a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago and the Economic Club of Chicago.
The Dr. Scholl Foundation was established by William M. Scholl, M.D., in 1947. It is a private, independent, grantmaking foundation created from the success of the business he founded, the Scholl Manufacturing Company. The foundation has continued Dr. Scholl’s generosity by contributing over $224 million since 1980 to organizations that help people help themselves, particularly in the area of education. The directors and staff members of the Dr. Scholl Foundation are honored and privileged to carry on his legacy.
